Best Practices for Desktop Layout Management

All tenants come with the default desktop layout. This layout can be and is adjusted by Cisco throughout the year as new releases become available.

 

Customized desktop layouts are very common and often necessary to enable the agent in assisting callers. Below are the best practices in creating and managing desktop layouts

 

  1. Create copy of desktop layout for general use

    1. As the default layout could change with new releases, you will better manage the agent experience through the creation of specific desktop layouts. This allows you to control the rollout of any change the default desktop layout

  2. Create copy of custom layouts for general use

    1. Just like with the default layout, use a copy of your custom layout to allow you the ability to test and update the custom layout without impacting production layouts
